Weekend Getaway
Last weekend we drove down to Southern Washington and stayed the weekend at a super fun place called Great Wolf Lodge. Our kids ended up being the perfect ages for this park and so the weekend was a total blast! My favorite part was being able to re-live part of my childhood and zoom down waterslides, feeling totally carefree and crazy :)
The weekend was totally fun and relaxing and just a great time away as a family.
This was our Christmas gift to our kids and they've already requested it for next year :)
Ethan isn't flipping me off... he was holding his cookie with his middle finger :)
this was the window cut-out in the kid's cabin they slept in.
Kara was most excited to be in a bathing suit in DECEMBER!

we went "off sight" for food, since the food there was way over priced.
Thankfully just down the road we found yummy places to eat.
And we threw health out the window and junked it up good this weekend ;-)
Dear, whoever invented having restaurants give crayons and activity pages to kids...
THANK YOU!!
playing with placemats kills time too.
Great Wolf Lodge is basically a wilderness themed hotel,
with a huge water park in the center.
Its indoor and they keep it at 85 degrees, so it felt like summer, even though its not.
I wasn't able to carry the camera around inside because its quite wet,
so I took a few pictures on Saturday morning, before heading down for some fun.
These pictures really don't do it justice at all... but you get the point.
we rode those high up slides!
we promised the kids dinner and desert at Dairy Queen
if they went on some of the BIG slides...
... and they did!
this face pretty much sums up how I feel about meat :)
I love this picture... he has about 4 loose teeth right now and you can see a
few of them here :)
Kara's first chili dog!
tada!
The much earned banana split!

Glad it was you :)
Thanks everyone! We had SO much fun and are definitely going back after our baby is born. I'm gonna buy a water wrap/sling and just get around with baby that way. It felt similar to what I'd expect a cruise to feel like. You have no need to leave the resort if you don't want to. We chose to eat off site because the prices in food were pretty high for us. But you CAN stay the whole time, if you want.
