Rachel-Kate
Rachel is 17 months old now! She's not doing too many new things, but I like to post one month updates until my kids turn 2, so here I sit. :)
She's getting over strep throat and doing quite well on the Antibiotics. Lately she seems like she's getting back to her normal cheery self.
Her appetite came back in full (yay!) and she is eating everything in sight. Her favorite food is any kind of meat, mixed with veggies and applesauce. I know its odd, but she loves it.
She loves her big girl bed, adores purses and things to put in her purses and, unlike Ethan, she likes to wander around the house, busying herself with little things. He likes very organized play and she's quite the opposite, which can be nice and not so nice.
She's a Mama's girl, with no question, but definitely loves her Daddy. When Jason and I hug each other, hold hands or kiss in front of her, she gets very upset with me and wants to have all his attention. Its quite funny.
She's talking up a storm these days; often putting 3-4 words together, though they don't always make total sense. :)
We love her to pieces and are enjoying these new phases she's going through!

Personally, I think it's cute when little girls love their daddies!! And, when they get affection from their daddies, maybe they won't go looking for it in all the wrong places later.
She is getting big, so fast. Its taken us by surprise way more than Ethan did. I'm trying to soak up all the baby moments I can with her! Tonight I went to put her to bed and actually held her and sang to her and rocked her to sleep. She must have loved the royal treatment! Usually its a kiss, a good night prayer and the light's off. :)
