The Children's Museum

and here is proof that we sometimes don't see the sun :)

the Space Needle is just outside the Museum
(Ethan kept saying he wanted to get away from it, because he worried it was going to fall on his head)

So I started looking online for all the fun stuff to do in our area. We had a week of very winter-like weather last week and so we wanted to get creative and still enjoy life; not feel all shut up in the house all the time. We took the kids to The Children's Museum in Seattle and had a blast! So much fun, we bought a family pass! Jason was with us, but sadly, he had the camera almost the whole time and so he's not in any of the pictures :( We need to get better about taking pix of each other.
The Museum was very age appropriate for all 3 of our kids. I think my favorite part so far (we actually didn't have time to see the entire museum) was the different villages and homes that are meant to look like you're in different parts of the world. Very cool and fun to play pretend and feel like you're in a different part of the world.

I was trying to capture a good picture of the center of the Museum. You basically hike up this "mountain" and along the way you learn about waterfalls, camping and nature. It was fun and very real looking for the kids! At the top is a campsite.

in the middle of the "hike"

peek-a-boo!

of course, Kara had to copy :)

Kara loved pretending to drive

here we are in Africa!

I think this is the Philippines...

Ethan's on a phone in Japa :)

Taking a stroll through Italy

I want to say this is a kitchen in China.

she wanted me to take a picture of her driving a BIG bus and send it to Papa.

So (of course) Kara had to copy

fearless

playing at the "river"

Elmo's World! Learning about the human body

she wasn't quite sure what to do here....

.... then she got it!

- the end -
We're going back soon to see the rest of the Museum!

What a wonderful place! Those season passes are the best! We have one to a zoo down here.

too much fun!
It looks like you had it all to yourselves by your pictures ;)

I've always wanted to go to the top of the Space Needle, my parents went there when I was a kid and would often talk about the dinner they had up there and how the top turned slowly and they had a view of all Seattle.

you and dad should go there for dinner when you're here! I'm not sure we'd be able to get E&R to go up to the top to eat :)

The museum was pretty empty. We were there on a school day from 12-3pm
