Going for some Privacy
**Just so you know, if you don't request to be put on the reader list, your name won't be on there. I haven't taken up mind reading just yet ;)
Also, for those of you with blog lists... even though my blog is set to private, my updates will still show up in your list. So no worries there.
I'm going to be setting my blog to a private setting - I'm sorry to those of you who are greatly annoyed by it. I know its rough; I often forget to check the private blogs myself, but I think its best for me to do so at this point.
I like to post lots of pictures and daily activities for family members, since we've moved far away... and I think I'd feel much better knowing exactly who's checking the blog, with all the personal information I put on here. If you don't know us personally, but have found our blog through a mutual friend's blog, please feel free to email me and be put on my blog list. I don't mind at all!
stef@jastef.net is where you can email me at.
I'm going to keep it open for a bit longer and then I will close it off.
Thanks,

Of course please add us.
I'll forward our address if you need. Hugs to you and yours...and let those foggy clouds roll back....I see nothing wrong with your statements!
but recently with Merrick's ordeal, I have posted a few pics since this is the place that people have come for updates...and many of them are not tech-savvy enough to sign up for the family blog. (blast those tricky passwords ;)
Sorry, more to the point:
The private blog I hope to print out and bind as a scrapbook for the kids. Most of our stories are told there....the kid's sayings, favorite pictures, etc.
The public blog is more of a personal forum for me. Since I use it to link to other blogs, for giveaways, writing assignments, etc......I know that any ol Joe Schmo might be peeking into this world. And out of curiosity, I pray they find Christ in the ramblings of my heart.
So it's more of a catch-all, and like I said, until recently, it had little to do with our daily comings and goings.
One thing that alleviated many of my fears was signing up at Statcounter.com
You can see how many hits you get and when....and even track the who (sometimes).
That also helped reassure me when I wondered WHY no one would comment. Anyhow it's free if you're curious. G'night!
Anyway... I'll look into that. The password thing has never bothered me (as in, its too hard) I just always forget those blogs since they don't show up in feed readers! Sad. I'll all of a sudden think "I haven't heard from Nikki in a long time" and then remember.
Do you have a Mac? If you do and you want to keep journal type entries for your kids, you should try Evernote. Jason just set me up with it the other day and I'm excited about the possibilities of keeping my personal thoughts and stuff for the kids there. I keep hand written journals for them, but lately (because I type so much) I'm not so good with handwriting. Like, as in, my hand gets too sore after one sentence! Sad, I know.
Also, I'm used to fast typing and my brain lately does really well with that. Its like when I'm hand writing stuff, my brain is so far ahead of what I'm writing, I get burnt out super fast.
Jason just told me you don't actually have to have a mac for Evernote - he said it works fine on a windows box as well.
Do I count as someone you "know personally" or not? :)
