our 1st visitors in the new house!

We made signs to bring to the airport...

so Grandpa and Grandma would know we were there to get them.

Kara had a hard time with her sign.
She wanted to hold it toward herself, so she could see it.
When I'd say "turn your sign around!"
should would turn her body around and stick her bottom out.

here they are!!!

they found us!
I think the signs helped :)

We came home and relaxed....
Ethan did some reading with Grandpa.

Rachel played dolls and doll-house with Grandma.

On Saturday we went out to breakfast, then drove through Seattle and went to the
Bellevue Mall, where the kids favorite stores are. We had a lot of fun at the Lego store!
They have a whole wall of legos, like a candy store, where you get to pick
out a container and then fill it with any shape, size and color of legos for a set price.
The kids filled a bucket of legos from Grandpa & Grandma
and have already enjoyed playing with them.

a little lego nursery!
I took a picture so Rachel and I could try to recreate it.

On Sunday we went to church in the morning/afternoon, came home for lunch and then Jason and I were able to go to the hospital to visit our friends Nick and Ally,
who just welcomed their first baby into the world!
Maggie Pearl was born just after midnight on Sunday morning.
She is quite a cutie pie as you can see...  and we are so excited she's here!
Nick and Ally go to church with us and have become such dear friends.

Sunday evening we hosted a little get together, with some friends that
Jason's parents also know.
We had a great time, yummy food and even got a little crazy, as usual.

Jason is the nut... Katie is sensible.
Together they make a great pair :)

my sister looks annoyed here, but she's not.
I assure you she is quite blessed by my weird affection ;-)

the two Jasons...

what can I say.

On Monday Grandpa made a delicious blueberry pancake breakfast for us!
He has great skill with making the pancakes look like specific shapes
{Mommy is not so good with this skill} and the food was SO yummy.
After breakfast Jason's parents offered to take care of the kids for
us, so we could get away for the rest of the day/evening.
We had SO much fun going out together, on our own!
We took a longer drive up North to a great outlet Mall and did some much needed shopping.
We had a yummy Thai food dinner, followed by catching a movie.
Such a fun date!

Rachel got to help prepare the food and set the table.

Rachel's heart shaped pancake <3

On the last day of Grandpa and Grandma's visit we went out to breakfast and then
came home and relaxed around the house until dinner time. It was quite nice.
We received the movie Swiss Family Robinson in the mail from Netflix and enjoyed
watching that together, before taking off for dinner at the Spaghetti Factory
and then headed back to the airport :(
Good byes are never fun, but saying good bye to family is the worst.
We drove away from the airport curb with tears and sadness.

Its amazing how fast 5 days go by with people you love.
Thank you for coming to see us, Grandpa and Grandma...
We love you!!!
