moments that make us smile...
I have been doing a work-out DVD for several weeks now and I usually do it first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon, if I'm busy in the morning. Either way, the kids are usually up with me and will often sit and watch, cheering me on.
I just walked into the family room and saw the cutest thing ever!
Rachel is laying on the floor, in front of the movie that's on, doing the same moves I do in my work out! She's lifting her leg, then lowering it back down (breathing very exaggerated the whole time) and then standing up and raising her arms and punching the air. Its quite a funny sight. I wish I could share it with you in pictures, but our dumb photo uploader isn't working... still.
Just had to share the story. Its making me laugh so hard. She's very intently working out. :)
I like to write these things down here as well, to remember later on to write it in her journal.

We had another 1st today with Rachel. We were leaving to go run several errands and visit friends and I put Rachel's tennis shoes on her and she went and grabbed her black "church shoes" and brought them to me, saying "Mama, Petty!" which means "pretty". I caved and let her wear them. It was too cute to say no to. And, you're only a kid once!
Rachel sounds so much older than Jenna though! I can't believe how verbal she is (or sounds - since I've never met her *cough cough hint hint*).
I wonder if that's the influence of Ethan (older kids) or maybe just hanging out with other kids in general (which Jenna doesn't have)...
Its funny that you said that, because to us, Rachel seems like such a baby! I guess because of Ethan. We're always feeling like we baby her way too much. We took her bottles away several weeks ago and I thought we were super late at that. Ethan went into a big boy bed at 18 months, which seemed like great timing, but it makes me so sad to think of putting her in one in January! Maybe its because she's our baby and we're not expecting another one? Might make a difference.
