I wish...

Sometimes I wish for more hours in my day. Not always though, because I know deep down, if I had more hours, I'd just busy them up with more stuff. I can't believe how different our daily life has been since Miles joined us. I keep telling people "I didn't think one little baby could change things so much!" but it appears his little life has changed our day-to-day quite a bit. Because I have to nurse {and I've never mastered walking around while nursing} there are diaper changes {we haven't had those in 2 years, so we find them quite exciting} there's the need to have Miles home more often than he's out being run around from here to there {so yes, I've actually learned even more how to say no to things} By the time I feel like I've got a handle on my day, its time to make dinner, clean up from our busy day and get ready to welcome the evening hours. CRAZY! I'm not complaining though and I don't even want it to change. This is

Woodland Park Zoo!

We bought a family pass to the Zoo!!    this is normal for our kids.     Miles was with us, no worries. He was sleeping in the stroller :)     the view outside the zoo.

Farm Fun

I took the kids to this fun farm just a few miles away from our house. We had SO much fun and I was in total awe of the beauty surrounding us. The farm is actually someone's property with their actual home on it. The home sits on the far back of the lot and then the farm is the rest of the property. Its basically like spending the day at your friend's house... but instead of video games they have a bunch of different petting zoos, a train ride and a bouncy house to go into :) Next time we go we're going to bring our water shoes and go creek walking!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a fun day.  We had a bunch of errands to run- some were fun and some weren't kid friendly - like getting paperwork signed and sent off   for the 2012-13 school year.  I wanted to start the day off with something fun for the kids and me.  I woke them up, everyone dressed quickly and then I surprised  them with a yummy breakfast at our favorite bagel shop on Mercer Island.  After all the errands were run and dinner was eaten, we decided to  break in our fire pit out back and roast marshmallows.  Here's the thing... with the sun not setting until after 10pm,  roasting marshmallows in the dark is kind of impossible ;-)  We began around 9:30 and this is what the sky looked liked...     again, it doesn't look like it, but this is in the 9 o'clock hour here in Washington :)     we still had a ton of fun.    finally! close to 11pm. Miles was tuckered out after all the fun :)

water play... before the rain

Seriously. My title says it all. I know weather has been random everywhere, but what we're having just cracks me up! Moms were slathering kids in sunscreen yesterday and today its raining and in the low 50's. I guess time of the year and specific months don't matter to God ;-) Either way, we had a fun pool play date with our friends. I'm hosting these this summer. Wanting to enjoy our backyard with our friends and be a bit more comfortable than we'd be at a huge park.  we had the big pool  the tent the sprinklers  and the sandbox.  I might be brave next time and man the slip n slide.     I had the dumb flash on and didn't realize it. Some of these turned out super bright :-\  my good friend Sharon and her daughter Annika   I'd love to know what they were planning....  I love Noah's smile :-) So we got up this morning to what looks like March weather.
