Nothing... but something

I have nothing new to post, but I can't stand letting so much time go by without posting... so hi.

I wanted to post some vacation pictures, but we're still having issues with our laptop/camera hook-up. :(
We've had such a slow week, but its been nice. Especially since Jase has been up late working and I stay up with him. By the time we get to bed its 1am (or later) and then the kids have been getting up around 6:30am, so I'm not getting much sleep. As many of you know... I like my sleep!
Rachel is teething badly (and hopefully this is it until her 2 year molars come in). Yesterday she came down with a yucky head cold... so we've canceled all our plans and have just been hanging around the house, playing a lot outside and going for walks. I love this weather. Its so clear and beautiful.

I couldn't believe this morning they were playing some Christmas carols on the radio! Halloween just ended and we're already doing Christmas? Hmmmm... what happened to Thanksgiving? I guess because you don't get gifts or candy, its easily forgotten. Maybe because there isn't much money involved for all the companies, so they just ignore it.

We have nothing on the calender for the weekend, except a visit from Aunt Jenny this Sunday! Ethan is very excited - he gets to go out with Aunt Jenny, all by himself. He's already set aside 2 cars he's going to bring on their date. :-)
This coming week we get back into the full swing of things; Bible studies start back up, piano lessons continue, our trip to Walnut Creek with Jennie David, I'll be getting my hair cut on Thursday (finally!) and then doing quite a bit of cooking for Jase and the kids to have food to eat while I'm away for the weekend.
Speaking of... if any of you have fun recipes for he and the kids to eat, will you email them to me? edarka@gmail.com -- I've already got burritos for one night, per Jason and Ethan's request, but I'd like to do some other fun stuff. I thought about making some pizza dough and sauce and then maybe Jase can take the kids out and buy toppings. What do you think? Thought this might be a good time for some kitchen creativity. ;-)

So, that's it. I know its a dull post, but hey, its a post! Can you believe November is already here?! This time of the year always goes by so fast. I just realized that tomorrow marks 2 years since the day we found out we were pregnant with Rachel. Feels like yesterday...
Have a great weekend everyone!

I can't believe it's Novemeber! But I'm SO glad all the ghouls and goblins will finally be coming down. (***sigh***I sound like my mother)

I love Thanksgiving and think it's sad it gets railroaded by Halloween and Christmas.

Hope Rachel gets better. We haven't been getting much sleep lately either. Bruce and his team actually spent the night at work last night trying to finish a project in time for their demo today. No fun. :-( It's nice that Jase can at least work from home.

Thanks for the recipe Laura! I read it to Jason and he said "Yeah! make that."
He loves casseroles. :)

He can work from home if its absolutely necessary, which they think is never. He usually has to just call in and say "I have to work from home today" and not ask. :) He tries not to do it very often though. I think next Friday will be a first since June.

One of Matt's favorites these days is French Bread Pizza (which is super EASY to make!). Some sauce, cheese and pepperoni on top and he is one happy husband! I tried to sneak some bell peppers on last night, and he wasn't quite so happy. Although, after he was eating one slice with the peppers, he admitted it wasn't that bad. He was just raised by a father who is very opinionated about veggies, where they should be and where they shouldn't be. I, myself, love veggies on my pizza, when can you have a complete meal all in one piece??

So true, Sara! In our house, the more veggies, the better. You should see the salads we make. Its kind of like "what did you leave out??"
Veggies on pizza is so good, but I've known some people that think if its going to be "junk" food, why even try? :)
