seats and strollers, oh my!

We've had such good "luck" at our used clothes stores this week. Yesterday we went to Tracy to do some shopping and went to my other favorite used clothes store. We got some snow bibs, boots and such for our trip to the snow we'll be taking and then I came across an awesome double jogger! We had a jogger given to us last year from some friends, but it had seen its day and we only got about 2 months use out of it. I've been looking on places like ebay and craigslist for several months, but haven't wanted to spend more than $100 on one. I was just about to give up and fork over the money when God brought this one to us yesterday! Ours looks just like this one, with a slightly used look, but barely. We bought it for $85.00! Its super easy to push, the seats lay all the way down and sit all the way up and has a Mother's tray, which was my favorite part. :) I also love the big basket underneath.

I'm eager to take the kids out for a jog in it. They both are very excited too. Right now I'm dealing with bad allergies, so a run isn't in the near future. Maybe a slower walk. :)

Congratulations on another great find!
We are pretty sure we are going to get a Maclaren double umbrella stroller. Do any of you folks have experience with it?

Gretchen has the McLaren side by side double and she loves it. I don't like side-by-sides, but hers did seem to be a very nice one; easy to push and even had basket space underneath. I don't think they come with mother's trays on top, but I believe you can go to the website and buy one to add.

keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.
