heard from the bath

The kids are in the bath right now and they're having an interesting conversation...

Ethan: Rachel, can I sit where you are and you sit where I am? Say "yes Efan."

Rachel: No.

Ethan: Rachel, you need to say "Okay, Efan!"

Rachel: No, E-E.

Ethan: Rachel... in the Bible I think it says to obey me when I tell you these things.

Rachel : BIBLE!!

Ethan: That's right, Rache... so now you need to obey Jesus and say "Yes, Efan."

Rachel: No.

Ethan: Rachel, are you trying to make me mad at you?

Rachel: Yeah.

Ethan: Well, you're making it work. Because I very mad at you now.

Rachel: I wanna see Nana.

Ethan: I can't spank you, Rache, but Mommy can and if I tell her what you did, she will want to spank you.

Rachel: Where Papa go?!

Ethan: Mommy?! Rachel's not listening to me!!

Ethan sounds so grown up!!!! He is so cute! I love how Rachel sticks to her guns and will not say yes. :)

I know! She definitely knows what no and yes mean now and its funny to see her just sit there casually and say "No." She says it very, um... sweet and kind, in her high voice. Which I think makes Ethan more upset. :)
That is hilarious. I love the E says "Efhan." It sounds like he copies things that you say to them :) Very cute!

He does copy me! Its funny... he likes to conveniently mix up stuff we say though... "I think the Bible says to obey me when I tell you these things." Nice one. ;)
This is hilarious! I love the banter between them!

That's hilarious! I love the things kids say. A few weeks ago at Awana, Whitney tried to make a little boy apologize to her for getting her in trouble when she didn't do anything wrong. Needless to say, he wuoldn't apologize and she melted down. Gotta love those kids and their persuasive abilities!
