20 weeks

I can't believe this is already my 20th week of pregnancy! Not sure if its just getting used to being pregnant or the fact that we're busy with two kids, but this pregnancy is flying by. I'm sure it also helps that I'm feeling great and sometimes forget I'm even pregnant.

Our ultra sound is tomorrow and Jason and I are super excited. We can't wait to SEE the baby, watch it move and make sure everything at least looks okay.
We're still up in the air with the whole gender thing, so that's also a possibility.
Jason would very much like to know what we're having and as much as I don't mind waiting to be surprised, I'm not understanding the thrill of it all. I'm sure it does work for some couples, but I don't think we're going to like it. I still would like to wait and at least see (so I can have my own opinion on it) but I also want Jason to thoroughly enjoy this pregnancy and not feel like it was the "odd" pregnancy for him.

Anyway... we shall see. Either way its still a surprise and I'm sure totally fun both ways. I am a little concerned about Ethan. I'm sure he'd get over it and love whatever we have, but at least right now... he is SURE this baby is a girl and does not want to even pretend its a boy.

I was bummed to hear we can't bring the kids tomorrow. :( I guess they need absolute quite and stillness during the ultra sound, so she said no kids under the age of 10. They'll have to enjoy the pictures. :)

Where do you go to have your ultrasound? I was able to take Emma both times, and Jack the last... Kinda funny... But I guess every place is different. Tomorrow will be special, regardless! Let us all know what your outcome is. To find out or not to find out... :) A blessing from our GOD, either way!!!

thanks Heather. Jason says this whole finding out/not finding out is some sort of weird religion. :)
We go to Kaiser. I think if we pushed hard enough they would say "sure, you can bring your kids" but she said if they make any noise, they will kick them out of the room, so they just tell people not until they're 10.
Kind of a bummer. I was telling Jason maybe we could ask them to write the gender down on paper and then we could get home and open it with the kids.

Gina, I'm with you. I was very annoyed. I told her that I know Ethan would be quiet and behave. Rachel would be afraid when the lights go off, so I wouldn't bring her... especially since its dark for about 30 minutes. I'm thinking about bringing Ethan anyway and just having them deal with it. :) Its so silly.
