Mother's Day

Here are a few pictures from Mother's Day. My sister's kids are also in the pictures - she has four kids ranging from ages 2 years to 8 years old.
I have a couple more I wanted to add, but for some reason it wasn't working. I'll try later.

We had a beautiful Mother's day. My Dad and our husbands put the day together and did a fabulous job. Dad made us moms a delicious steak lunch, Caleb made an amazing salad and Jason brought dessert and drinks. And... they cleaned up! That was a gift in and of itself. :)

haha! I know. Our camera is being replaced tomorrow and its in such bad shape I've not been pushing it too much. These are pics my mom got, so you have to blame her. :)

The "moms" aren't in the pics because the "Dads" were too busy serving and cleaning to take pics!!
It was a VERY special, relaxing, yummy food day and they all did a great job.

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
