We went to Marine World on Saturday with Jason's old coworker Scott. The kids had a blast! It was the 1st time this year for us, but will be one of many since we have season passes. The day was very enjoyable and actually relaxing as well. Rachel napped in the stroller 1/2 way through the day, the kids enjoyed playing in the new water park area (getting soaked) and we caught a few of our favorite shows. Of course Thomas Land was very loved and we spent a lot of time there as well. :)

I took a picture of Rachel the other night (in Christmas pjs, I know) and posted that here as well. She's 22 months old on Wednesday!

Glad you had a fun day! Thomas Land! Dan would have LOVED that when he was Ethan's age. In fact, he might still like it now...ha!

Dan might like it... though its very much geared for kids 5 and under. There is one bus ride (I think its Bertie the Bus or something) that's a bit too scary for Ethan. He doesn't like how it goes up so fast and then when it comes down, it really grabs his stomach. SO I always notice the bigger kids on that one. :)
Marine World is so fun because its not just rides and its not just animals - its got it all!

We have tons of coupons from our passes, so please let me know if you're ever interested in going!

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
