proof that he's listening...

Ethan lets us know in funny ways that he listens to what we say, even when we're not talking to him. Here are some quotes from this week...

"That's because gas prices are SO high, Mommy!" -- after I said we were not going to buy the BIG race car at Target, because it was too much money.

"Rachel's gonna have a new world hit her when this baby comes." -- after she threw a fit when I didn't pick her up right away.

"I like laptops with apples on them because they're way better than the other kind." -- referring to Apple computers

"Shut the door, or the flys will take over our house!"

"I think I have a head ache... I'm gonna take some time-en-al"

This morning Ethan asked "What does "the President" mean?" I gave him the watered down version :) and he asked me "So... we're gonna get a new one?"
When I said yes and then told him I wasn't too thrilled about who it may be, he asked me why. So I told him that its hard to have a President that doesn't love God and doesn't truly have the Country's best interest at heart. Here was his comment to me saying that...
"Well, you just need to send him a email and say "you need to obey God!" "

I heard his tummy growl this morning and said "What is that noise??" he looked up at me and with a big smile on his face he said... "Its my baby moving around in there." :)

Last week he woke up on Saturday morning, in a not-so-good mood. I finally said "Ethan, why are you being so cranky?" and he followed with... "that's because I woke up on the wrong side of the world."

This little boy keeps me on my toes, but puts a smile on my face everyday. :)
