Retreat

Our church is hosting its annual Ladies' Retreat this November. I sent an email out several weeks ago, to a bunch of friends that don't go to my church but I thought would be interested and 5 of you are planning to come! Very exciting.
I thought I'd post the link here for those of you who want to come and then for any of you who haven't heard but are interested. Here you go!
You can fill out a registration form online. If it won't let you submit it online, let me know. You can always mail them to me and I'll turn them in for you.

This is going to be the first time we've gone to this retreat center, but I hear its very nice. We'll also be staying in motel like rooms and not the usual camping dorms.
**Nursing babies are welcome.

Aw, thanks! I'm so glad that so many of my friends can come! Its already fun to have all my church friends there, but even more fun to add friends to the mix. :)

Sounds like fun...I would totally go, but that Friday is Jason's graduation from the police academy. Have a good time!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.
