Here's the ever growing belly! We're down to the last 8 weeks and time couldn't go any faster. I'm happy and sad about that fact. :)
Rachel and I (along with my sister Emily) drove to Dublin on Thursday to get my hair cut and then took a trip to the mall for dinner and some shopping. It was such a fun night, but the highlight was getting to see my good friend Gretchen. I haven't seen her in a year -- which means my hair really hasn't looked good in a year. So the hair cut was also a "friends catching up" date. :)
I bought this dress at the mall and when we got home Rachel could not wait for me to try it on. So... you get to see the belly, the new do and the dress!


She is completely thrilled about the idea of meeting her new baby!

Gretchen didn't have time to really style my hair, so this is sort of the rough draft. :)

If that's the dress you were telling me about yesterday...you're right...it's really cute! Had fun shopping with you yesterday, even though it was a bit crazy with 5 kids!

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
