Dumb question # 8,692

Between Jason and me, we get asked some strange questions when we're out with our kids. Its typically when we're not together, but just one of us, out with them.
Last week Jason was talking to someone at the store and in their conversation of "oh your kids are so cute! One of each must be so fun, etc..." Jason told her we had a one week old baby at home as well.

Her reply? "Are you guys gonna be like that family on TV that has 18 kids?!"

Yeah... because 18 and 3... that's the same.

People are so stupid! We don't get dumb questions, so much as dumb comments: "Oh, you are homeschooling. That's great! You just have to make sure your daughter is socialized." Duh.

hahahaha!!!! That is so funny. Where do people come up with these things????????

Oh my...I've had some weird comments over time. Now that our kids are older, we don't get that too often anymore. :)

Next time tell them that you and Jason are actually brother and sister and you aren't sure how many kids you'll have together. hahaha!

Because clearly 3 and 18 are the same number. Good grief! I hope Jason said "Oh no! We're hoping for 20!" :)

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
