Feeling thankful

I was looking over the agenda for the week ahead and started thinking "oh brother, another busy week!" But then I looked over it a second time and found myself so thankful.
Thankful for the amazing Bible studies and classes I'm able to go to, thankful for my amazing friends, thankful for my family, thankful for 3 healthy kids, thankful that I'm able to be this busy and capable of handling it all :) Just thankful for the life God has given me.

Its a good way to start the week .... thankful.

I agree, Andrea! Lately when my attitude is frowning, I've been telling myself "look for things to be thankful for and forget the stuff that makes you look ugly." :)

I know I am thankful to have you as a friend, it was a blast hanging out at Target ... crazy as the kids were. I am amazed how exciting a simple shopping trip can be.

Amy, I'm so thankful for your friendship as well! I missed you all SO much over the break and during the time when we were sick. So good to be back!

Wednesday was fun! I say we need to stick to our plans for a moms day out and also someone's idea for Indian food? Lets do it! I'm also purposing to read my book for the book club and actually go this time! :)

I couldn't agree more--which is way that Pancho "the butt-warmer" helped us keep that perspective too. So hard to get back into things & be positive during that rough transition!! You are so good about reflection & keeping your perspective in check! :)

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! I like to write {never thought I'd say that} and I really enjoy interacting with people; friends and then strangers who become friends.  Its great and its been a great way for us to share our day-to-day life with our families, since we moved.  Jason and I have been mulling around what I should do for a 1,000 blog post giveaway, just for fun. keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
