Ethan's 4th

In keeping with Betti tradition, we do treasure hunts for our kids on their birthdays, starting with their 3rd birthday. Ethan had a blast doing his this year and did really well with the clues. You get however many gifts as the age you're turning and then with each gift comes a clue to where the gift is hidden. He did a really good job!

Pirate Lego set

this was his favorite gift :)

The treasure hunt sounds fun. At what age do you stop? One present for every year sounds like heaven for the kid and like a wallet wipe out for mom and dad. :-)

16 is the last one you get.
my mom always did very simple gifts as
we got older... toothbrush, gum, sheet music
shower stuff, etc... so a couple gifts are costly
and then everything else is just fun stuff. :)

I love treasure hunts! My kids get them too. Thanks to mom for such a fun tradition!
I got a kick out of how determined Ethan is to have me stay and play down on the floor with him. :) I just love his personality. Kiss him for me Stef!
