She's doing great

Kara has done really well since the surgery! She's eating fine, sleeping great and hopefully enjoying her fixed ears :)
She definitely doesn't poke at them nearly as much as she used to. She also already makes eye contact more than she used to, so that's a plus! Our lives have already returned back to normal and we're thrilled with her progress. God has been really good to our baby.

I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and your love for her. The surgery went so fast and so smooth, it was a big relief to Jason and me.
Tomorrow I am sending in all my paperwork for the camera replacement, so hopefully pictures will be coming soon!

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything.
