I wanted to thank you all for your prayers for my Grandpa. He's doing well, considering. My Mom is still up in Sonora cleaning his house, organizing his belongings and taking care of paper work and such. The good news is, my Grandpa will be moving here to the town we live in and will be staying in an assisted living place about 1 mile from my parents! We're all really excited about that and my kids are especially thrilled that "Great Pop" will be close enough for us to go visit on a regular basis.
Thank you for praying for my Mom as well - she really appreciates it.

My kids miss their Nana... they're used to being able to seeing her at church and sometimes during the week. She's an amazing Nana and her being gone for more than a week has left a hole in their hearts. Rachel asked me today "Mommy, where is Nana and what closet is she hiding in?" :)

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.
