we went on a date

Isn't my date such a handsome guy? I thought so. He was excellent company too!

We enjoyed some coffee and chocolate milk @ our favorite spot,
shopping, lunch, ice cream treats and ended the day with a car wash.

Sometimes I'm amazed how fast Ethan's 4 1/2 years have gone by.
We were looking at some clothes for him today and realized he's no
longer in the back of the store, at the little boy's section. He has
officially graduated to the big boy's section, wearing size XS...
What??!! I know. I was shocked.

He's a great 4 1/2 year old boy.

That guy's underwear SUUUUCKS! I got a pair marked XS, and let me tell you, there was no room for excess of any kind in there.

Haha! Erin, that made me laugh. I think that quote is super funny, all on its own. So obvious its a person who has no concept of the fact that XS is a size :)

But yes, in the world of friends, its a line from none other than, Joey.

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
