Princess and the Frog




One of the best things about our move to WA has been more quality time with Jason. The kids tell me almost on a daily basis how much they love getting to spend so much time with Daddy now. They have all morning and part of the afternoon every single day, with play time, video games, reading books, going on fun dates, and just being together as a family. Instead of feeling like he has to make time, its very natural to finally have the time. Its priceless and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Today Jase took E&R to see the new Disney movie Princess and the Frog. They've been anxiously awaiting its arrival to theaters and they were thrilled when they heard they got to go on a special date, just with Daddy :)

They didn't like it :( Jason said it was very well done, but the bad guy is a bit too evil. I think he's a witch Dr. or something. Jason said he had vu-du dolls and such. Thankfully that went over E&R's heads, but Jason didn't care for it, obviously :) He said aside from that the movie was really well done. Isn't that the way it always is?!

Yeah, we hadn't seen many previews at all... and the one article I read about it, made NO mention of such things :(
Jason said it totally went over E&R's heads, but I doubt it would if they were a couple years older. Its not one we'll ever own, sadly.

Blogging feels so weird to me now. In the same way writing a hand written letter feels weird and texting a quick message feels normal. I hate to say it, but I've become one of *those* people.  When I was introduced to Instagram I knew it would take over. Only because I know the Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles really only care about photos since we keep in regular touch on the phone and via skype. And I was really only blogging in such detail for them and for my own memory sake; I still keep journals for each kid and a silly quotes journal to remember all the hilarious that goes on in our home.  I'm going to throw some pictures in here randomly for those of you who aren't on Instagram and haven't seen my kids in over a year...  since I last blogged, Rachel turned 11! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
