sometimes up... sometimes down

Our poor Kara has good days and bad days. And some days she has a little of both. We're very anxious to see the Ear Nose and Throat specialist this Thursday and even more anxious to hear what he thinks Kara needs. Our regular Pediatrician said he would definitely do the surgery... however, he's not a specialist, so he said he "might be wrong". So the ENT may have different news for us and I'm praying for better news than surgery. Though its not the end of the world if she ends up needing it.

I was looking through some pictures Jason took today and realized you can totally see her ups and downs, even in these pictures. Poor thing :(

Just a few hours later, the fever sets in. Her ears and teeth begin hurting again :(



heading off to bed as soon as the fever breaks.
This carrier comes in very handy during times like these.

I know. It feels like she's been this way all her life... and I think its because she has :( It will be wonderful to move past this phase.

Blogging feels so weird to me now. In the same way writing a hand written letter feels weird and texting a quick message feels normal. I hate to say it, but I've become one of *those* people.  When I was introduced to Instagram I knew it would take over. Only because I know the Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles really only care about photos since we keep in regular touch on the phone and via skype. And I was really only blogging in such detail for them and for my own memory sake; I still keep journals for each kid and a silly quotes journal to remember all the hilarious that goes on in our home.  I'm going to throw some pictures in here randomly for those of you who aren't on Instagram and haven't seen my kids in over a year...  since I last blogged, Rachel turned 11! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
