We're here!

Cat's outta the bag, so I can blog about it now :-)

My Dad turns 60 on December 10th and so the kids and I really wanted to come and celebrate with him. We didn't think we'd be able to, so close to Christmas (flight costs) but thankfully this early in December still has great low prices. We left WA yesterday morning; a tearful goodbye to our Daddy and not sure how we'd do for a whole week without him :(
The flight went... excellent! I have to thank those of you who knew and prayed, because God really blessed our flight down. Ethan was enthralled with the plane, Rachel colored the whole time and Kara played around and then napped the rest of the flight. It all went very smoothly and very fast. The plane wasn't full and so we had the back 4 rows all to ourselves. It was lovely. Ethan's favorite part was meeting the pilot and sitting in the cock pit, which I sadly did not get a picture of :(

Surprising my Dad was super fun. We bought birthday balloons and hid in the kitchen and then yelled "Happy Birthday!" to him as he came around the corner. I think Rachel actually yelled "Merry Christmas!", but he didn't notice. :-)

We've had fun seeing our cousins again, visiting old friends (I surprised 2 of my friends today) and spending time with my Mom... I'm really enjoying this time with her. Sadly, Dad has a job and has to work, but we're planning a fun weekend with him.
We still get to see aour church friends nd Auntie Jenny on Sunday,  Jason's parents on Monday and mdore friends on Tuesday and Wenesday! I'm feeling home sick (mostly sick for my Love) but we're enjoying this visit, knowing we won't be back for several months. I think the best feeling for all of us, is actually missing Washington. I'm at least thankful we don't come back here and wish we didn't have to go back :-)

I'll have pictures coming soon!

Also, p.s. if you saw on Facebook that I'm pregnant, please disregard the thought. I posted that I had exciting news to share (us being in CA) and rumors got started very fast. Thanks to those of you who've been so kind to email me your congratulations... but for now you have to take them back :)
