Coloring outside = good times

the 3 of them love to color and with the weather so nice, they've taken the fun outside. 

Kara always has to stand on chairs or climb on tables because she likes to see me jump. 







soon our deck will be getting refinished, so we're enjoying the play time on it,
before the men come and take it over for a few weeks.

LOVE Rachel's style!! Is that a big long piece of butcher paper for coloring? That's a fabulous idea. Just like the Macaroni Grill.

Jess, the paper is a roll that we got with a Doug and Melissa art station my parents gave the kids for christmas. That paper had gotten wet outside the night before, so I just unrolled the dry aftermath and let them go crazy with it :-)

Rachel has been enjoying doing her own hair lately and I think its pretty funny/cute how it turns out. She was wearing a huge bow, headband on her head moments before these pictures, but it fell off. She's quite the girl of fashion around here :)

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
