Snoqualmie Falls

On the way home from our church picnic {in the post below this one} we passed by Snoqualmie Falls and just had to stop. 
Such beautiful scenery! 




loved this picture of us, except for the way I'm standing. I was trying to hold on tightly to Rachel, 
but also turn my body and face forward. It didn't turn out so great... 

we were all completely pooped on the way home, but the day was 
amazingly fun! Its been a grand summer.

Wow! What a beautiful beautiful falls!! And it's still a very cute family picture. I wouldn't have been able to tell the awkwardness if you didn't point it out! ;)

I love the family shot Stef! It's a great picture. The falls are beautiful. Lucas has often talk about the area. He was stationed at Sub Base Bangor, so he knows the area very well.

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
