Give Thanks {not just for Thanksgiving}
I am thankful.
For many reasons, not just one.
Mostly thankful because I'm so glad I have God to lead me through life.
To walk beside me and guide me, protect and completely love me.
I can't imagine life without Him {so cliche, but SO the way I feel}
Its not that I can't imagine life without Him... its that I know I can't live life without Him.
He is my life.
When I begin to worry or try to control, I remember who controls the waves of the see.
Who keeps the sun from coming too close to us.
Who lines the planets in perfect order.
Who keeps the blood in my heart pumping perfectly, to keep me alive.
Who formed the heavens and who keeps the moon and sun from colliding.
I'd make a mess of those things.
I get overwhelmed with meal planning and grocery lists!
I'm thankful for our home.
thankful for our car.
thankful for my Bible.
thankful for our church; for the solid, good, God-centered teaching.
I'm thankful for my friends.
Feeling blessed to have friends who feel more like family 2 states away
and dear friendships I'm making in this new state we call home.
I'm thankful our kids are mostly healthy.
Thankful for access to Doctors and medicine.
Thankful for God given ways to avoid needing the Doctors and medicine too much ;-)
Thankful for Spring weather. God knows we can't handle too much winter.
Thankful our weather patterns come in seasons. Even in that God was making sure we wouldn't go crazy. Imagine what the world would be like with only summer. Or only winter.
Everything would be dead. Or Frozen.
Thanks Lord, for even thinking of that.
I'm thankful for biblegateway.com
so that on the mornings when I realize I left my Bible in the car {and Jase has the car}
I still have access to God's Word. My mornings still start off right.
I'm thankful for simple things. But great blessings...
toothpaste/toothbrush
food, all food.
good, solid music
encouraging things online
{the Internet's got some good in it!}
my camera
skype
washing machine
dryer
dishwasher
hot water
nice toilets
my legs
my brain {okay, that's a big thing}
electricity
birds, I love hearing them chirp 1st thing
carpet cleaner
encouraging, helpful books
{all big things}
my kids
even on the hard days.
I can't help but be thankful, because raising them has so
often brought my eyes off of me and onto Christ.
Always a good thing.
my husband.
for so many reasons this man is one of God's greatest blessing to me.
I cannot imagine my life without him.
I'm glad God said it wasn't good for man to be alone.
I love having him living life with me.
our parents
again, so many reasons I am thankful for them.
God knows each one.
It just needed to be said here. I'm thankful for all 4 of them.
Hey kids, be sure to tell your parents you love them.
Don't despise their love and training of you.
They do it because they love you & they're obeying God.
And its a huge blessing to become an adult and feel like your
parents are some of your closest friends.
I can't imagine it any other way.
Jason's job
this got put under the "big things" category
because its quite big.
Good, steady employment isn't something to take for granted.
Especially when he comes home every day telling me how much he loves it.
Good job.
Good provisions
Happy husband.
Huge bonus.
All God.
What are you most thankful for? I feel like I should pick a day of the week and use that day,
every week, for a "thankful" post. Doesn't have to be long or deep or even super
important. I'm not kidding when I say I'm thankful for our nice toilets!
Have you ever thought of what it would be like to squat over a hole at 2am?
No thanks.
And yet remind yourself that lots of people around this world do just that.
Cold showers too. How does that sound?
Yes. Its been decided. Tuesday will be my "thankful" days.
I just have to remember to stick with it now :)
Go and be blessed.
Remember your Creator and return all praise to Him.

Yes Gina! That's exactly right... like a wordless wednesday :)
Here's a little list
Coffee
fresh water
cell phones
phone calls from my husband
flowers
baby smiles
cars
neighbors
And I especially loved the way you wrote the first paragraph about God and His perfect providence. Thanks for the reminder.
Erin, loved reading your list! Good ones.
I would've added coffee to mine, but I stopped drinking it when I got pregnant and haven't started up again. I'm thinking I just won't :)
