in the City {SF}
Last Thursday we went into San Francisco to meet up with some very good friends of ours.
We went after Ethan got out of VBS, so we also missed traffic, which in my book is a win, win.
We met up with Laura and her girls at Stow Lake {an extension of Golden Gate Park} and had a wonderful time with them! Lots of fun memories at that park. The kids were so excited to see each other and I love that we all can pick up right where we left off.
It was perfect, Seattle like weather, which was a nice break from the inland heat :)
Jenna, with Ethan and Rachel
Chloe was there too... but she was wanting to stay with her Mama :)
I love the beauty in this City. I've heard people talk about how ugly and dirty this City is, but I cannot go there without seeing the beauty that surrounds it as well. I love the parks, the huge trees, the ocean views! I mean, you can't beat it and it always makes for a fun day.
My Dad was born and raised in SF and so I spent all of my childhood and early adulthood coming here to visit Grandparents. Maybe its why I feel sort of attached. When I go back, I feel like a kid again, with memories bursting out from every corner.
we can't forget the turtles on the log! If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you've seen these turtles before :)
feeding the coy fish, cheerios.
Kara, Rachel, Ethan, Jenna & Chloe
this one is for my husband. he loves getting good desktop pictures and when I saw this bridge, I knew he'd like this one. Again, very LOTR'ish :)

stopping for ice cream should be a must on any trip.

Rachel & Jenna have been friends since they were babies :)
this moment wasn't planned, but boy am I glad my camera was nearby!
we had such a lovely time and still have more pictures to post on our time there....
but they're in my cell phone, so I'll upload them later.
Laura, thanks for meeting up with us.
Wish we could do that more often!
