the wait is hard on everyone...

Last night Ethan was cuddling in bed with Jason and I and he asked me "Mommy, when IS our baby going to be born?" I told him that she's supposed to come around October 2nd, so she might be here in September, but she might be here even later than the 2nd of October. He seemed so annoyed with the end of my answer (having to wait even longer than expected for her) and replied with...

"Awwww! I am so tired of waiting for her to get here! I think I'll just go to Target and buy us one."

I love it! Kids say the cutest things! When we were waiting for Jackson, Whitney and I watched A Baby Story every day. One day she came over to me, thumped on my tummy and said, "Come on now Mommy, it's time to pop that thing out!" I love kids.

I know... anytime we say "oh, we need ice" (or anything at all) he jumps up, grabs his shoes and says "I wanna go to Target too!" Its terribly scary. We have one a mile away from our house, so we're there a lot. :)

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
