the aftermath...

Here are some pictures of my Mom's totaled car. So now you can come visit the Arnolds AND get your car totaled. I must say, there are *some* good things that come from having a totaled car. Could be much worse. Like, we could be dead. I keep reminding myself of that. Most of the damage was done to the undercarriage and frame of the car. Because the bus was so heavy and going 30+ mph, it basically grabbed onto the car for a split second and yanked the frame, causing it to bend and buckle underneath.
Its very strange to see in person, because the rest of the car looks in perfect condition.

Wow!! Makes for some great pictures. :/ What is your Mom going to do now for a car?? Be honest...this was just your final plea to get her to stay, right?! :) But seriously, so glad you guys went untouched!

At this point it looks like my Mom will get a check for the value of her car (possibly higher than the value, which is nice) so she can buy a new one and Jason and I won't have to pay the deductible, which is also nice :)

All in all, we're just praising God that we walked away without even a bruise!

Wow, I'm glad you guys are okay! Accidents are so scary, and I know what you meant in your other post about crying off and on for seemingly no reason... I have had the same experience lately. I tend to think it is because of the realization loved ones, and their importance. It all flashes so quickly in that instant.

Accident photos are always amazing! So glad that was the worst of it. With frame damage it would be best if they wrote it off as a total. Fixing those things is never a for sure. Hopefully you all canwrap this up sooner than later--I know your mom needs to get back. Again, so happy you are both doing well!

Jessica made me laugh. :) I would go that far to get mom to stay.
I am so glad that you guys weren't just a few seconds further. God protected you! These things pass...it's just a car after all.
