Blast off with friends

 Several weeks ago we went to one of the best birthday parties I've ever been to! Our friends from church, Parker and Dylan {best buddies from different families} had a joint 4th birthday party and it was, "out of this world" with fun! I put quotations because the theme was a outer space theme :)
We had yummy snack food, cakes with sparkler rocket candles, slip-n-slides, decorate-your-own-cookie table and more! The weather was perfect and the day was a total blast. I still can't believe its been a year since the boys turned 3, but I guess its more proof that time is flying by. This is the post from Parker's 3rd party last summer. I think its safe to say, his parents are pretty great party throwers :)

I loved that there was lots of fun, creative stuff for the kids to do. I've got 3 kids and I'm just now learning about cool parties :)

Ah! I have never thought of putting the icing into squeeze bottles for the kids. Brilliant! Super cool!

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
