thirty-two and seven

{I've been really bad about blogging lately, sorry.}

Ethan and I celebrated our 32nd and 7th birthdays on February 6th! We started celebrating on Saturday, since Daddy had the day off work and enjoyed a day of park playing, visited a beautiful lake/beach near our house and ate breakfast out. 

he's 7. someone please pinch me. 


she loved the ring sucker that Grandpa & Grandma sent :)

    the face. I have no idea why she made it, but it makes us laugh. 
Maybe that's why she does it :) 

   the girls did this slide about 50 times; screaming and giggling every time :) 




On the evening of our actual birthday we got a sitter for the girls and Jason and I took Ethan out for his birthday dinner in Seattle, all by himself. We had a really nice time and enjoyed the alone time with him.
He remarked several times how quiet it was without the girls there :)
We got to sit IN the trolly car at the Spaghetti Factory, which was a hit for the birthday boy.

Daddy's office is up there!

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. For my simple mind, Blogger worked out much better for me. Sorry, husband.  I've been at this blogging thing for almost 8 years and I'm still not sick of it! I like to write {never thought I'd say that} and I really enjoy interacting with people; friends and then strangers who become friends.  Its great and its been a great way for us to share our day-to-day life with our families, since we moved.  Jason and I have been mulling around what I should do for a 1,000 blog post giveaway, just for fun. keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
