 We skyped with Jason's parents and Grandma from the hospital 
and I loved a couple of these screen shots Jason captured. 
Having Grandparents meet their new Grandson over the computer 
definitely isn't ideal... but we were thankful for this at least. 
They arrive for a visit in a few weeks! 

    it was quite an eventful day... and this is how we ended it :)

We feel so completely blessed. 
Our meals are already being delivered and we have offers for 
visits and other help needed pouring in, with visits from family 
just around the corner. 
Thank you to all of you for your kindness and love.

I'm sitting here totally boo-hooing over the photos. I am so happy for you! Miles is beautiful and so perfect! I wish I could come see you and hold him and kiss him. He fits just right with your other 3. SO HAPPY!!!

Aww...great pictures! I LOVE the one of Ernie and Ana Maria. :) And I think Miles looks just like Kara! I wonder if he'll have her curls too?! Congratulations to you all...love you!

Nana and Papa are sitting here boo-whooing over all these pictures too!! We can't wait to hold him and smell him and kiss, kiss, kiss him!!

Thanks for sharing. I also love the pics with the Arnold's and I think Miles looks like Kara. He's beautiful and we're so happy for all of you. I love how technology allowed us to go thu this together even though you're far away. I know others feel the same.

One Thousandth blog post + GIVEAWAY!!

This marks the  one thousandth blog post   for me !  If you added the blogging over at Jastef.net, I'm sure it would be far more, but I haven't blogged over there since Kara was a baby. keeping the sickies away

Probably like most of you Moms, I've been sick of being sick throughout the winter. Its such a fun, holiday time of year and totally stinks when you're stuck inside, with illnesses. And, if you're not a fan of getting a vaccine for every little bug that goes around, you end up realizing you have to do your research to learn how to build up the immune systems and keep your brood healthy. I'm also learning that when it comes to sickness {we're talking sickness that won't cause death}, its actually good for our bodies to learn to fight things off naturally and not constantly running to get shots or drugs to cure us from ever getting sick again {which those shots don't do anyway}.  I'm no pro and my oldest child isn't even 7 yet, so I'm definitely not posting this to teach you ladies anything. And, for those of you with older kids, feel free to leave tips for how you keep your family healthy or natural ways to fight off colds and viruses.  ...
