I'm ashamed at how pathetic these look, but we've been busy and this was my last minute attempt the other night. :) I'm entering the 3rd trimester this week! I can't believe its already here. We're getting super eager to meet our baby and can't wait to start life with her. Its been fun feeling her kicks and squirms; the kids love it that she kicks after they talk to my tummy.

blog break

We have an extremely busy couple of weeks ahead of us and since I'm fairly regular with this blogging thing... this is just to let you know, you won't be hearing from me for a while. I'm sure I'll be able to find several minutes here or there at night, but I think, just so I don't have to worry about it, I'm going to just not post until life slows down. PLEASE pray that I'll get well. This cold/sinus problem seems to have become a permanent part of my body. VBS starts Monday! We're very excited. Ethan got his class shirt last night and I think he officially feels like one of the big kids. We were pleased to find out the weather is never supposed to peak above 89 degrees - we're praying it stays that way, since its all outdoors. I've had to promise my Dr. on several occasions that I will stay hydrated. Next weekend we'll be out of town and then when we get back, Ethan's surgery is next on our list. Oh, please pray that he'll stay well...

from the girl's mouth

"Mommy... that's amazing!" "I am soaking wet." "I wanna call you Mom now." (this one made me sad... she loves calling me mom). "Daddy, you're my favorite... I wub you." "Efan... open your eyes and wook at me!" "Mommy, can the baby push you out now?"

They're not always girly :)

Rachel and her 2 year old cousin Emma enjoyed some cherries last week.... thoroughly enjoyed them. :) The bottom two pictures were taken a few days ago, when I was really sick. I gave Rachel some yogurt and then went and laid on the couch, figuring she'd enjoy the yogurt for a while. I guess she did enjoy it, just not in the way I thought she would. Emma Claire Rachel - guilty as charged Giving her hair a mask :)

June 7th trip to M.W.

These are pictures from our Marine World trip last Saturday. We went for a half day and had a blast! Sir Topham Hat Ethan was nervous at first we thought this was cute, with his hand on her leg Thomas himself! on the Frogger ride watching the tiger show bye Mr. Girrafe!

In the now

I've been battling a slight cold this week and it recently turned into a very bad sinus infection/head aches. Its amazing how difficult life becomes when my head is pounding 24/7 and I can hear only fog in my ears. Whew! It also seems that my kids completely understand what it means to have Mommy feeling under the weather. Suddenly messes don't get cleaned up, running through the house is okay, decorating our bodies with dinner food, rather than eating it, is apparently allowed, getting into the fridge and eating whip cream and m&m's is also apparently allowed, opening the front door to a total stranger seems like a fine thing to do, making bed time world war III for Daddy seems fine and dandy and getting up super early, clearly needing more sleep is the norm for the week. Yes... our house in a nutshell. Last night I realized that I needed to get more creative when I'm sick. Even though we can't go out and live our fun, busy, social life, we can still keep every...

Here is a belly picture for all of you who've been nagging me :-) This was taken last night, so its good and recent. Maybe I'll start posting one every month. I make no promises. I've been telling people (when they ask) that I must be doing extremely well, because I often forget I'm even pregnant. Keeping busy with Ethan and Rachel has definitely helped this pregnancy fly by. As of June 18th, we'll be down to 3 1/2 months!

Friday night at the park

Image
Last night I decided (rather last minute) to see if my sister Trish and her family would like to meet us at the park for a BBQ and some baseball fun. Turns out, everyone was able to come! My younger sister Emily came also, with our friend Peter from church. We had a blast! The weather was perfect and the kids all played to their hearts content. We have lots more pictures on our family website and of course, our flickr stream. Eating his hot dog Rachel with her cousin Sam (she loves him so much) Trish captured this cute picture of her Ethan with Aunt Emmie

re-doing the tagging :)

I was telling Jason today that I can never think of weird quirks I have... on demand. Maybe that's a quirk in and of itself. :) I need time to think about it and then what ends up happening is, I realize my quirks as I catch myself in them. So, with a little of his help today and then just noticing stuff I do, here are better ones to prove how quirky I really am. :) 1. I have to turn all my dollar bills the same direction before handing money over to someone. I don't know if its from working at McDonald's years ago and learning to keep my drawer neat and tidy, but I simply HAVE to turn all the bills the same direction. 2. I mentally flip out if my email inbox has more than 5 unanswered emails in it. Hence the quick replies, people. 3. when I play the piano (even just for fun) I still set a timer. I think its habit from when I was little. 4. when I go to the bathroom, I stare at the tile floor and try to make pictures out of what I see. The floor has to be textured for it to...

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and we could not be happier for the new Mr. and Mrs. Cody Pisahl!! Congrats you two! Pastor Frank marries Cody & Chanel "You may now kiss your bride!" But this was the best looking guy there My beautiful little sister Emily

Memorial Day & Breakfast at Mimi's

Image
We spent Memorial Day around the house, getting lots of odd jobs done. Jason and Ethan did an awesome job cleaning and organizing the garage (seriously, it looks amazing!) and I worked away inside the house - putting some more touches in the baby's room, cleaning out closets and getting a Goodwill pile together. It was a very productive day. Ethan found the baby's bassinet in the garage! A couple days later we enjoyed a family breakfast at Mimi's (our favorite spot) before Jason headed off to the office. Where's Ethan?! Peek-a-boo!! Yeah... we're kinda weird...
